Eric Lao is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Everest Senior Living. With more than 15 years of experience in the mortgage and real estate finance industry, Mr. Lao has built a distinguished career grounded in integrity, performance, and long-term strategic thinking. Over the course of his career, he has successfully closed more than $2 billion in mortgage transactions, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor and disciplined financial operator.

Originally entering the senior housing space as an investor in eight communities across the United States, Mr. Lao recognized the growing need for operational excellence, financial stewardship, and resident-centered leadership within the industry. Motivated by a long-term vision to elevate care standards while building sustainable value, he founded Everest Senior Living.

Under his leadership, Everest has developed a focused and disciplined portfolio strategy. Mr. Lao currently oversees two senior housing communities and has successfully repositioned and exited one property, demonstrating both operational capability and capital execution discipline. His approach combines financial acumen with hands-on oversight, ensuring that both residents and team members benefit from a stable, mission-driven organization.

Mr. Lao earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine. He is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, allowing him to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, investors, and communities.

Chief Operating Officer

Charlene Lee is the Chief Operating Officer for Everest Senior Living. Ms. Lee is a  licensed Broker with over 15 years of Real Estate and Property Management Experience, managing over $100 Million dollars in investments ranging from Large Commercial Real Estate to Residential/Multifamily investments. Ms. Lee specialize in identify opportunities where others saw challenges.  Leverage her expertise and implemented cost-saving techniques that have consistently bolstered investor profits. With Ms. Lee’s experience and hands on approach, Everest is able to apply different cost-saving techniques and turn around underperforming  senior housing communities.  One property at a time.

Ms. Lee earned her Bachelor’s Degree at California University of Los Angeles and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Korean.

Jane Owens

Chief Information Officer

Jane Owens is the Chief Information Officer at Everest Senior Living Management, where she leads operational strategy, systems development, and organizational growth initiatives across all communities. Jane brings a decade of leadership experience in sales operations and infrastructure development, with a proven track record in optimizing workflows, improving efficiencies, and building strong internal systems for both established organizations and start-ups.
Prior to joining Everest, Jane played a key role in launching operational platforms for emerging companies, successfully implementing process improvements that drove measurable performance gains. Now, she brings that same innovation and structure to the senior living space, where her passion truly lies.
Jane finds the most rewarding part of her work to be supporting the care and dignity of older adults. Her leadership is driven by a deep commitment to building thriving, compassionate communities where residents feel at home and supported. She is fluent in multiple languages, known for her clear communication and collaborative approach, and thrives in mission-driven environments that value progress and accountability.
Jane earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
