Edward Pan, CAIA
CEO and Chairman
Edward Pan is the CEO and Chairman of Everest Senior Living. Mr. Pan is the general partner overseeing 8 senior housing communities in California, Arizona, and Florida. He has successfully syndicated and purchased projects valued at over $120 million with approximately $200 million current asset under management.
Mr. Pan has over 12 years experience in commercial real estate closed over $1 Billion in commercial real estate transactions across different asset types including multi-family, retails, and senior housing. He started his career in commercial real estate in 2010 with Marcus & Millichap and later joined Colliers International as First Vice President of Investments. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Pan was an analyst at Barclays Capital’s foreign exchange trading desk in Tokyo and Singapore.
Edward has BA in Finance from California State University, Fullerton. He is a member of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and has completed Executive Director of Assisted Living course by Argentum – A leading national association exclusively dedicated to support senior housing operators.
Eric Lao
President
Eric Lao is the President of Everest Senior Living and is responsible for investor relations and fund management. Eric has over 14 years of experience as a mortgage broker and the founder and president of Uni First Investment Inc with an annually closing mortgage volume of $1.2 Billion. He is also an experienced investor involved in sourcing, capital rising and managing over $100 million equity loan across difference asset types including single family, multi-family, commercial building, and senior housing.
Mr. Lao received a Bachelor of Art in Economic from University of California, Irvine. He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Chris Chen, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Chris Chen is the Chief Financial Officer for Everest Senior Living and in charge of all aspects of Everest financial reporting, auditing, and risk control management. Chris is currently a Controller at GMTO corporation and has a Certified Public Accountant license with over approximately 19 years of financial reporting. Having risen through the ranks and accompanied with an enriched and blended experience in both for profit and non-profit organizations, Chris maintains a hands-on approach, with in-depth knowledge and expertise in corporate arenas that include accounting, auditing, budgeting and FP&A, and internal controls.
Charlene Lee
Chief Operating Officer
Charlene Lee is the Chief Operating Officer for Everest Senior Living. Ms. Lee is a licensed Broker with over 15 years of Real Estate and Property Management Experience, managing over $100 Million dollars in investments ranging from Large Commercial Real Estate to Residential/Multifamily investments. Ms. Lee specialize in identify opportunities where others saw challenges. Leverage her expertise and implemented cost-saving techniques that have consistently bolstered investor profits. With Ms. Lee’s experience and hands on approach, Everest is able to apply different cost-saving techniques and turn around underperforming senior housing communities. One property at a time.
Ms. Lee earned her Bachelor’s Degree at California University of Los Angeles and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Korean.
David Lin, CFA
Chief Acquisition Officer
David Lin is the Chief Acquisition Officer for Everest Senior Living who leads Everest’s property acquisition and deal sourcing initiatives. Mr. Lin brings over 18 years of extensive expertise in the realms of commercial real estate and financial asset management. He started in commercial real estate in 2014 with Marcus & Millichap before joining Colliers in 2019 as Vice President. Mr. Lin has closed over $350 million in commercial real estate transactions across different asset types including multi-family, retails, self-storage and senior housing.
Prior to real estate, David made significant contributions to the financial sector, accruing invaluable experience in commercial banking, mutual fund investment, and hedge fund portfolio management.
Mr. Lin is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has an MBA and a BA in Business Administration- Finance from University of California Riverside.
James Huang
Chief Strategy Officer
James Huang is the Chief Strategy Officer for Everest Senior Living. Mr. Huang is responsible for systemizing traditional senior housing operation model to become more efficient and scalable.
For over 20 years, James has built a reputation for effectively transforming under-achieving properties into top performers. James has held management positions in Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Finance for premier brands including Marriott and IHG. As the General Manager of a $100M hotel development project, he was inspired to re-direct his talents to the world of commercial real estate investments.
James holds a degree in Business Administration – Finance. He speaks conversational Chinese Mandarin, Taiwanese, and basic Spanish.
Mishelle Lin
Advisor
Mishelle Lin is the advisor for Everest Senior Living, leveraging her expertise as the head of Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary's Asian operations and sales. With over 15 years of dedicated service, Mishelle has been instrumental in expanding Rose Hills' presence within the Asian community. Managing a formidable team of over 100 sales associates, Mishelle has facilitated sales surpassing $100 million in 2023 alone.
Drawing upon her wealth of experience and strategic insight, Mishelle has translated her success to elevate Everest's profile within the Asian community across Southern California. Her visionary leadership have been pivotal in guiding Everest to penetrate new markets and establish enduring brand awareness.
